Getaneh Molla
Biography
Coming from the Amhara region; Molla was born in Injibara, Ethiopia, northwest of the capital Addis Ababa.
Coming up in the athletics ranks from the cross country; Molla gained notoriety after winning the National Cross Country Championships in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia. He then moved onto the track and has a very well established resume over the 3000m, 5000m and 10,000m distances.
Then moving to the Marathon, Molla won his debut marathon at the 2019 Dubai Marathon in one of the fastest debuts of all time in 2:03:34. Molla has established himself as one of the "captains" of ESM&M's marathon group; as he is a strong and quiet leader and always willing to help mentor a new, young athlete.
